A delightful setting in an old boathouse with wooden beams and panels everywhere and a harbour view. An excellent menu and we ate here twice and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The fish soup is a creamy delight. Scallops: perfectly cooked and delicious. Hake was marvellous. The bread and butter: so tasty. Great wine list.

The restaurant is located in the Scandic Maritim. Facing the water, this place offers great quality food and excellent fish. Good wine selection. Friendly service. Would be great if this restaurant would have outdoor sitting but seems there are only tables indoor. Decoration feels like you are in a dark fisherman cabin, which is surely very cozy in winter but a bit dark when you have a bright summer evening. Food was good so I would definitely recommend this place.

This is the spot to go to in Haugesund if you are looking to eat seafood. The word "naustet" means the boathouse in Norwegian, and that is exactly what this place is. It looks and feels like an old school boat house. You're dinging right on the water on the docks, and the ambiance makes the entire experience. (Although it doens't hurt that the food is very tasty!)

My wife and I had the best meal of the many that we have enjoyed in Norway. The fish soup was extraordinary, as was the asparagus salad. So were the halibut and lamb. Even the bread was superb. A bottle of gruner veltliner was fine, and the price of 580 KR was fair for Norway. Service was good. Nice room with a boat theme. Strongly recommend.

So relieved to find a proper restaurant serving good Norwegian fish- wonderful set meal of scallops, halibut and raspberry pannacotta. We could only see pizzas, burgers and fast food on the port front. Believe it’s part of the Hotel Scandic Maritim.
Expensive as ever, particularly the wine, but lovely evening and delicious food.
