Dolce Vita is tastefully decorated creating an appealing ambiance. The view from the Spinola Bay is also spectacular.
When we entered the restaurant we were met by an extremely rude manager who did not make any recomendations about the menu other than the minimum amount of consumption per person.
We had the opportunity to order from a wide swath af the menu. The place was busy and the staff could not cope with it. We had to wait almost half an hour to get our drinks.
When our dishes were served, we were impressed by the presentation but at the same time we were dissapointed by their content. Linguine Dolce Vita was decorated by an empty half lobster shell, calamary ripieni alla Siciliana was tough and the potatoes looked like precooked french fries.
Visiting the Dolce Vita was certainly an experience to remember, but one that I never hope to repeat. If you are tempted by the luscious decoration and the spectacular view, you would be better off bringing a camera to the restaurant than your appetite.
