Staff were super friendly & making conversation. They gave us focaccia on the house & it was delicious. We ordered Tagliata between too, was a bit salty but it definitely amazing. Roast potatoes were also to die for!!

Dont recommend the place... i still had to pay my pizza that wasnt really warm and we had to wait for a long time. My wife stopped eating as the salad had quite a big caterpillar in it. Making this kind of error i was awaiting to be offered as an excuse my 13 euros pizza. The started salad was not on the bill. Sorry for the waitress that was very kind.

Walked in off the street and luckily a table for two was free. Groups of four plus were being turned away or the more persistent were queuing outside the door. We had to sit on the covered terrace near the door so it was a bit busy but as the atmosphere itself was buzzing this caused no problem at all.

We were brought menus and asked if we wanted a wine list. Ordered water immediately whilst we looked through the menu. Not as big as some but all the better for it. Quite taken with the wood burning oven but we both opted for the pasta, prawn linguine for me and beef and mushroom pappardelle for my wife with a very good Puglian wine to complement the dishes. We have only drank Maltese wine whilst here and this was a welcome change. Complimentary bread was brought out but to be honest this was unnecessary as we had ordered a focaccia as a starter and this was more than enough.

The food was delicious and both were cooked to our satisfaction and I mention this only because some reviews have mentioned the pasta being undercooked.

Although the restaurant was very busy and as tables cleared they were being quickly filled we never felt rushed to vacate our table. On asking for the bill we were offered complimentary drinks or dessert and although opted for a limoncello we also had a tasty vanilla custard mini tart.

The food was delicious and so filling we ended up returning to the hotel earlier than planned as even after a walk we were too full to drink anymore - a first!

This is not a matter of IF, this is a must. If you are visiting Malta, you must find 2 hours of your time to visit this restaurant. Try the Tagliata, then any other word is deemed to be unnecessary. (obviously positive)

If you are a meat lover do visit this place . RESERVATION IN ADVANCE is a must as it is always fully booked . The Tagliata is something to dream of . Ask the staff for it as it is not written in the menu .

Thanks from family Tanti
