Very well situated at the end of the main street opposite the library and near the river.
Gardens are well tended and entrance is inviting.
Lovely stained glass window behind the alter.
Very calming atmosphere. Organ was being played on my visit.. Lovely atmosphere and sound.
Worth a look at.

Thank Sue R

This is a very large church in the heart of the town, just off the main high street. It has a welcoming feel and warm atmosphere to put visitors at their ease.

I was married here, both of my children were christened at the font and my daughter sang in the choir so I may be a bit biased but this really is a lovely place. Old, tranquil and very interesting historically.

Open weekdays from 9am-3pm. Church service - Wednesday at 11am and Sunday at 8am and 10am. Everyone is welcome to look around, leave a prayer request, read the Bible or sit quiet and contemplate. As you enter, on the left there is a bookstall for anyine to browse – and buy from. There are even some comfortable chairs if you want to sit and read what you have found. There are also community lunch once a month, Choral evensong alternate Sunday evening, lunch time concert and etc.
