Good food, excellent service, amazing views. Try the venison. Brought over from Maui and cooked to perfection. Get a bottle of wine and relax the evening away

It seems that it would be simple to make this place a destination spot. But the food was expected and not memorable. But the location is spectacular. Don't get why they don't bump it up a notch, except that the hotel was also a meeting destination for a couple of corporations. (P.S. the drinks were really expensive.)

The pluses - great location, beautiful views, very nice ambience (the live guitar player was great and really created a good vibe)

The negatives - The food was decent to average. Specifically, the sirloin was pretty grizzly and not up to par at all. And at $65, it was significantly below par. Overall very expensive (which if the food is outstanding, is fine, but in this case it was not).

I would say overall our meal was good. The bread basket was awesome. I loved the garlic in the macadamia nut hummus.

Our meals were good except oddly, the macadamia nut Mac and cheese came a little bit cold even tho everything else was hot. I enjoyed my crab crusted kampachi and would definitely order this again. We also had the duck confit fried rice which was good although hard to find the pieces of duck and the egg didn’t come soft boiled so the yolk didn’t spill out in that gooey delicious way to coat the rice.

We did love the dessert recommended by the waiter which was the mud pie. It was basically like coffee ice cream cake. Yum!

The service was good, friendly!
