Tigmi took me by surprise. Overall I would say this is more of a 4 star than 3, but the rustic nature of the buildings and staff to guest ratio probably keep it rated a 3. The hotel is located in a tiny Berber village a mere 20-30 minutes from the frenetic and wonderful city of Marrakech. The buildings and rooms have incredible authentic Berber details and as a result feel perfectly tied to the surroundings. The hotel/resort is run by a wonderful man named Jean Paul who will do his best to see to any request you may have. The bathrooms are big w/ nice toiletries provided. There is only Wifi at the restaurant and main heated pool, but this is the type of place to visit if you want to unplug. The hotel is on the Yoga retreat circuit so expect a group to be in residence during your stay. Restaurant serves a great breakfast (included) and lunch/dinner with a Morrocan special every night in addition to the more international a la carte menu. Daily maid service and turn down service provided. The Spa/Hamman is wonderful and a great value.

I highly recommend a day trip into the Atlas mountains. We did it with a lunch stop at the wonderful Richard Branson hotel called Kasbah Tamadot.

Room tip: Each room is unique, but rooms in the new section are closer to restaurant and wifi.

We stayed at Tigmi in May for a girl's weekend and could not have loved it more. The hotel is beautifully done up in a traditional style, the setting is stunning and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back again next year and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in the sunshine.

I spent a week at Tigmi on a yoga retreat. I was more relaxed that week than my entire lifetime!

Great food, great staff, great location away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. They offer complimentary shuttle into town if you want it.

Tigmi is truly a unique experience . Don't come here if you want flat screen TVs, piped music, cocktail bars and conformity. There are plenty of chain hotels world wide that give you that
Tigmi is like nowhere I have stayed every room or suite is unique. The place is a warren of courtyards, terraces, gardens and towers.
The location half an hour from Marrakech is perfect, easy to get to the city and easy to return to the haven of Tigmi
The food is fresh and different every day Dinner in the evening is a set meal but never failed to delight. Buffet lunches simple but excellent
All of the staff are so helpful
The Hamamm and spa a real treat and very good value
Pool towels readily available
Wifi access good but in a restricted area, but it is more than adequate
Rooms have both uk and continental power points adaptors not needed
I was here for an amazing yoga retreat. Yoga on an open terrace with views of the Atlas Mountains

I will be returning to this beautiful place as soon as I can
