A beautiful bunglow sourrounded with tea estates facing the Adams peak. A nice place to relax, chill out and why not a good location to brain storm too to achieve your goals and mission driving towards your vision.

We spent two days and one night in this beautiful bungalow. Very clean and tidy. Sorrounded by a beautiful flower garden and misty mountains at a distance. The staffs are courteous and the food is very good if not excellant. Since there are only five rooms the hotel is never crowded or noisy. I have been to this hotel several times before and well maintained from the time I first visited this place in 1990. The price is very reasonable . Full value for the price you pay. I am sure anybody will fall in love with this hotel the very first time you visit.

Room tip: There are few mosquitoes during rainy season. Better take a body spray. There are mosquitoe nets over the beds. So no need t worry.

Stayed two nights here whilst exploring the tea plantations and Adam's peak.
A British colonial bungalow over 100yrs old set in beautiful gardens and tea plantations.
This will take you back to another era.
The rooms were spacious with dated 40's furniture, the bathrooms basic but functional.
All the staff were very helpful but not trained for today's tourists - quaint if you relaxed with it - otherwise could be frustrating. Think slow service.
There was a lovely lounge for sipping your beers.
The dining room was a little formal but all the food we had, rice and curry, was excellent.
The grounds and surroundings were a delight and good for bird watching.
If they modernised this place it would loose its character so you take it as you find it.

it is a beautiful ,well maintained holiday bangalow in the upcountry. I first visited this place with my family in 1990 and then with my friends in 2000. It is as it was then. In 2014 when I visited with my friends in December it is still in the superb condition. There is a beautiful well maintained flower garden. The food they provided is excellent. The staffs are really good. One staff Mr Pathmanathan who was there in 1990 when I visited first is still working there. All the staffs are pleasent, obidiant and helpful. Everything about this place is good except that the approach road , about 500 meters from the main road to the hotel, is in very bad condition. One can easily ignore this taking into consideration other plus points. The rates for the food and the rooms are very reasonable . The manager Mr. Rajasekaram through whom we booked our rooms is a kind and helpful gentleman.

Room tip: Upper Glencain bangalow above the road is excellent and the lower Glencain has no kitchen.Request for a room on the dining hall side for window opening to the garden.
