Hygiene wise not as what we expected. Cleanliness is questionable,
1. There's dust on the wall and fan which you can see clearly.
2. Toilet door broken,
3. Mug and kettle was NOT being cleaned from previous guest,
4. There was NO spoon provided to stir your drinks.

I had a very BAD ALLERGIES REACTION due to DUST during my stay.

With the price that we pay which is NOT CHEAP RM1800/night for 2 type of room (1 Family suite, and 1 two single bed room)

BREAKFAST was NOT INCLUDED as they said, restaurant does not belong to hotel (if u want u can pay RM25/pax for breakfast). This however does not included in the room price.

Family suite ONLY HAVE 1 BATHROOM and another 1 is only a toilet (NO SHOWER). For a suite that can accommodate 5 people only 1 bathroom is quite a disappointment.

The pool is good, the beach is nice, the mattress and pillow is comfortable.. But price wise, OVERCHARGED AND LOW QUALITY of room and services. ONLY 2 LIFT & SMALL to cover the whole hotel guest. People have to SQUEEZE in the lift during peak hours.

OVERPRICED & DEFINATELY NOT A 4 OR 5 STAR HOTEL

PLEASE RECONSIDER TO STAY HERE.

Was truly bored out of my wits the other day and scrolled through Netflix for something to amuse me.

And I stumbled onto The Chennai Express.

A Shah Rukh Khan movie with Prakash Padukone’s daughter and a famous director.
How bad can the movie be right?

That’s what this resort is all about. The well-managed and modern Pacific Regency Group whose KL’s hotel-apartments I frequent with much joy.

We always complain that Port Dickson’s hotels are mainly 3-stars and not well managed except for a couple of resorts.

Well, this resort is spanking new, a reboot of the old Ming Court hotel of yesteryears. But the services and hotel layout are so 3-star that makes you wonder perhaps the operator is following the required mundane standards of a hotel here.
Poorly trained front office desk, wasted space right up to the beach front for a carpark(!), wet floors at the lobby thats never mopped, no beach bar to speak of, etc etc etc.
The rooms are nice though, maybe because it’s new.

But I guess that’s about it.

So now we know why the room rates are equivalent to a 3-star.
Was really hoping Pacific Regency would make a difference here in PD.

But i guess they are just going with the flow.

Needless to say, The Chennai Express movie was a total waste of time.

I could have better used the two and the half hours watching funny cat videos.

Room tip: ask for sea view, even though partial, still worth it.

Pros: Room was spacious, with both ceiling fan and aircond. very near to the beach. pool was big and not crowded. Check in and out was smooth. large parking space.

Cons : Room was very basic with no slippers, no prayer mat, no iron. Booked partial sea view and our view from room was basically swimming pool and big bushes. beach not so clean, suggest to drive to Pantai Saujana for clearer and cleaner water.

Overall was ok, but a bit boring with no cafe or lounge. suggest to book sea view/ partial sea view to avoid getting the room facing on old abandoned big building.

Paid rm2600 for a room with pool, poor customer service, operator & room service dint answer, had to go out for food., Wi-Fi not working smart to not working, room nice but many stains on sheet, it’s like we were forced to stay because we paid, no valley/jockey. All this issues was not solved should have not paid without seeing the place, the place which has so much potential but being managed by inexperienced management, if you plan to stay, make sure bring your own food or tapau ,no extra towel by the pool use the same towel at the pool and for shower, not worth The money, can get a Wonderful bungalow with private pool for this price, never to return here.

Last stayed her in the 80s when it was the Ming Court PD! Structure remains the same but has undergone quite a bit of refurbishment.Place was very quiet for a Tuesday.Loads of free parking
Check-in staff was very friendly and informative, eventhough he's only been with the hotel for 2 mths! Room was large and bed, although a bit on the hard side, was comfy.Room amenities was good but the AC was a bit on the loud side......Fan speed 1 was like normal AC fan speed 3,so,great for hot days but not for a quiet night's sleep!
I paid RM 211 via agoda without breakfast. No F&B outlet seemed to be operating cos maybe it was the muslim fasting month.Wifi didnt work and no one answered my calls to 0 at night....for the price paid, cant complain
Pool was large and clean.....definitely a plus for this place
Hotel was abandoned for years and wifey was worried about lingering 'spirits' .....lol....however,we both slept well : ))
