This unassuming restaurant on the outskirts of town is well worth a visit. There was no menu on offer but rather a 'tasting menu' of locally sourced and home made produce. On our visit, there were 3 separate and distinct starters (beef tartare, a chicken and cabbage salad and baked artichoke with porcini mushrooms). This was followed by 2 sublime fresh pasta dishes (one with local sausage and the other with mixed meat and vegetables). The main course was beef cooked in red wine. For dessert, we had a selection of 4 different puddings which were all delicious. Included in the the price of €35 per person was bread, water, coffee and grappa. There was a big selection of local wines which were all reasonably priced. The owners, who were also doing the cooking both came out to chat to the customers, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Only one waiter spoke English, but he did it perfectly and helped explain exactly what was in each course. As we were staying 20 minutes walk from the restaurant, they even drove us home - such a nice touch and indicative of their overall service attitude. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and well worth a visit.
