The R-1 bus took us right to Puerto Juarez, which it doesn’t always do, so that worked well. Then we took a short cab ride to the site. Admission is 55 Pesos.
A fairly large place with a lot of structures and quite a large pyramid. There are lots of trees and, of course, lots of Iguanas - they blend in with the stone very well so be sure to look for them everywhere
This is not a widely known site I don’t think and it is exceptional because it is so close to Cancun, easily accessible and a good example of the Mayan culture minus a lot of travel time and expense. Worth a visit to this area of local culture around Puerto Juarez.

A great place to see Mayan ruins right outside of Cancun. We spent about an hour here enjoying this intimate site. No crowds, lots of iguanas! Lots of great picture opportunities. Several excellent Oceanside seafood restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

Clean, well maintained, several well preserved structures with explanations, and especially, very quiet and serene.

Similar to other reviews, the best part was the location! We stayed north of Cancun and stopped on our way to the ferry. The price of admission is reasonable ($50 pesos). The guide at the front is super friendly and taught us a few Mayan words. This was a great alternative to spending hours on the bus to one of the larger ruins.
Highly recommended.
