Lovely lunch outdoors on the terrace with a very peaceful and romantic ambiance; there is a river just next to the patio with the woods behind and has been probably the most beautiful sunset I have seen in France! The seating in the restaurant has beautiful architecture and very unique an lots of windows so you feel outdoors even then! Now the food... wow incredible, very fresh and I love the maison Foie gras it melts in your mouth and is always seasoned and accompanied with ingredients of the season. And I always look forward to ordering it to see how they creatively serve it! But that’s just one example the menu has plenty french dishes such as ris de veau and fresh fish which is always delicious! Chef Frank Arnaud does a splendid job and I believe at this rate he will soon have a star⭐️! His daughter is now the pastry chef and is doing a wonderful job and I look forward to tasting her new creations! Now let’s not forget the wine menu... amazing.... tons of great champagne to choose from and all the other wine regions in France as well! We enjoyed an excellent Bérèche champagne ! Cheers!

Once you have tasted one exclusively well prepared, beautifully presented menu, you will recognize the same structure at a second occasion. Fine, fresh and perfect, but one menu is merely a variation on the other. An extensive winelist, but mostly expensive. One can always buy a bottle and spread it over two days.

Together with friends and colleagues we have visited the Champagne region during the weekend of September 30 - October 2nd 2016. We staid at the hotel that is situated accross this restaurant and is owned by the restaurant owner.

The restaurant is situated at the edge of the Mezy-Moulin village and has its own parking area.
It is nicely decorated and is not packed with tables.

The menu is well balanced and guests can either eat “Alla Carte” or choose 1 of the 3 menu’s which contain most of the alla carte dishes.
The wine menu is substantia and has Champagnes from the direct area and wines from the largest regions of France. A good choice is easely made to your liking.
Despite the fact that this restaurant has a notification in the Guide de Michelin 2016, prices have been kept reasenable.

During our 3 day stay, we had dinner here twice with a party of 6.
Service was well organized. Each member had its own task and performed this well. During our first dinner, each course was served rather fast. For us it would be better if there was a bit more time inbetween 2 courses. On our second day, this was much better.

The food was very well prepared and presented with eye for detail. Desert surprised us. All of them looked like a little painting. The eye was pleased…. Will it taste as good as well? Yes. It did. Seasening was spot on and the taste of each dish well balanced. Portions are average, but sufficient. Level of price vs quality is good. Guests are not overpaying and get vallue for their money.

I can recommend this restaurant to others, but before going there, reservation is necessary. Full is full.

Advised this was the best restaurant value for money in the area by our BnB so went and tried it out. Excellent service and food. Lovely surroundings next to a little stream. Food and wine perfect. The maitre d looked after Our party well and could speak English. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to the area. A little hard to find off the main road but worth it when you get there.

We went here on our last night. It was easily the best restaurant we visited in the Marne area in an attractive location. The service was friendly and first class as was the food and wine. It was excellent value.
