We spent a lovely Easter Day at the Grumpy mole in Tadworth. The staff were friendly and tentative. The food was delicious! We had calamari for starters which were lovely and not greasy at all. Their beef burgers are thick , cooked well, juicy and came in a brioche bun. They do a lovely Sunday roast with a choice of either having the turkey, lamb or beef or a trio which came with roast potatoes , a huge Yorkshire pudding and pigs in blanket. My parents had the beef stroganoff which they loved and had a lovely sauce to it . We were a table of 12 and for the first time ever there were no complaints about the food and the portions were just right and filling. Everything was cooked perfectly and I have to say we would definitely be coming again.

Visited with 'foodie' friends from Guildford who were SO impressed, as were we!
Staff couldn't be more helpful and unlike some places you don't feel rushed.
Book early to avoid disappointment, it's a popular place.

Another great evening at the Grumpy Mole. Food and service excellent as always.
An improvement I would suggest is to put some lighting at the entrance from the main road. It's always difficult to spot it in the dark through the oncoming headlights.

We visited with friends and were pleasantly surprised with beautiful setting of a friendly pub. Most of us had fish as a main course which was cooked perfectly, sauce lacked a little punch but did not d because and service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

A delightful place to have lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, all of which I’ve enjoyed over many years.
This was a birthday lunch with my daughter and as always the food was fantastic. Unfortunately on this particular occasion the restaurant was very busy and we had to wait some time for our main course to arrive so if you have any time constraints be sure to let the staff know.
However the visit was still very enjoyable and I’ll definitely be going again soon.
