We paid £50 for 2 adults and a child. It was £18 per adult which essentially means we paid £36 for the privilege of attempting to guide our child through the hordes of tourists, keep him entertained in the horrendous queues and buying an overpriced cup of coffee. Total rip-off.

The attraction consists of a few local buildings made out of Lego, a "4D" cinema, a short Lego themed ghost Train type ride, a spinning carriage type ride and some kiddy Lego go karts, a small play area plus a few activity areas where you can build Lego, if you can get near any of it!

We spent half an hour queuing for the 4D cinema only to find that it was full when we got to the door and we had to wait another 20 minutes for the next show which was pretty poor and really not worth the wait. Similar 20 minute waits for the other rides which really weren't up to much meant that out limited time slot was mostly spent queuing and disappointed.

Had we only had to pay for a child ticket then it might have been o.k aside from the crowds but there was not a single thing to justify the adult ticket price and it left us feeling completely ripped off, add to this the horrendous overcrowding and you've got a recipe for a complete waste of money!

Avoid unless you're going midweek on a really good special offer and literally have nothing better to spend your money on, otherwise go to a playcentre and buy some Lego!

Hi christos2k,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester.

I am sorry to read that you left disappointed, as this is not how we hope any of our guests would leave. We are very popular during weekends and school holidays, and as such we can become quite busy during these periods. The average visit is 2-3 hours, and following feedback we restrict visits to 4 hours during peak periods to improve the experience for our guests, I can only apologise that this experience did not live up to your expectations.

Our cinema does seat 97 and as it is a popular attraction, unfortunately this does mean that we are not able to allow entrance to everyone in the queue line. I am sorry that the queues within the attraction did put a dampener on your visit, and this is something that we are continually improving.

Once again thank you for taking the time to review your visit, and we do hope that you will visit us again soon.

Kind regards,
Sarah - Operations Manager

Went to Legoland to by present for young grandson who is starting to be like building lego. Asked an assistant who did not have a clue what we were asking for and just looked blank however did take us to the city range and suggested we look there. Found the item we wanted and paid £ 18.00. Continued shopping in Trafford Centre went into John Lewis and found exactly the same item £5.03 cheaper. SHAME ON LEGO for charging children so much when they save up their pocket money these products expecting the branded shop to be at least the same or cheaper. Will not never by from Legoland again !!!!

We visit LDC 2 or 3 time a year, this visit during half term so it was very busy.
People should be aware you have to book a slot to enter, which can be done by phone and gives you entry for 4 hours.
As you enter the building you get a guided tour of the "Brick Factory" and at the end of the 6-8 no it a talk each child received a brick, which isbthemed at certain times of the year.
After you leave the tour there is a 4D cinema , kingdom queat ride on shooter game with 5 people per carriage where you have to rescue the princess from the u being trolls, Marlins apretice ride where you pedal to make tour carriage fly and a mini driving ride.
Add to this a lego build and experiment centre and buses workshops it's a great family day out.
Pricing is reasonable but we have annual passes so our only cost is refreshments.
They have a small food store that sells kids meals for around a fiver, which gets you a ham or cheese sandwhich, mini Pringles pot, yogurt and soft drink.
Staff were very helpful and friendly despite the very busy day.

Visited in a family group. We have been before and not much has changed, some of the models in the mini city were looking a bit tired and the queues for the rides were long. The food outlet offered a very poor and unappealing selection of food, better to take your own.We were not impressed by the new play area although the 4D cinema show was a great success as were all the lego building areas We all thought the staff were absolutely brilliant and full of enthusiasm so well done for employing such an excellent work force. Altogether we found this venue a bit disappointing and over priced.

Visited here with my 3 children as they always ask to go when we go to Trafford. The queue to get in took about 30 minutes then was a further 10 minutes wait to start the 'tour'. I personally felt the first part of been locked in a small room with lots of people was completely unnecessary. I get that it was trying to show the children a little bit about lego but there were far too many people squeezed into a small place and most of the children couldn't see what's going on. Once inside the main bit my kids loved the play area and activities but it was extremely busy, I personally couldn't wait get out but my kids didn't want to leave. Would I visit again? Probably not however definitely worth taking the little ones if they are a fan on Lego.

Hi kimberlylcxx,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester.

I am sorry to read that you did not fully enjoy your visit with us, and that queuing had a negative impact on your day. We do try and limit our queues as much as possible, and I'm sorry that this was not the case during your visit. LEGOLAND Discovery Centres do differ to LEGOLAND Theme Parks as they are more about creative learning and imaginative family play, and we find that a lot of our visitors do enjoy the interactive nature of our Factory tour, and our smaller guests love helping Professor Brick to create their own bricks to take away.

Once again thank you for taking the time to review your visit, and we do hope that you will visit us again soon.

Kind regards,
Sarah - Operations Manager
