Lovely building, nice room, staff extremely nice and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble

Dinner in the restaurant was excellent

Worth every penny.

Hospitality tray in room could have been a bit better and towels were old but this did not detract from our stay. Hotel was warm and comfy.

5 of us went for afternoon tea today (28/12/17). Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Copious amounts of tea and coffee and so much to eat - we struggled! Sandwiches, miniature cakes, Christmas biscuits and sones with jam and cream. The staff member who waited on us even organised for us to take the left overs home.
Delicious and well worth the money!

Stopped at this hotel as meeting work colleagues for Christmas evening out.

Check in was good and efficient, but nobody on reception when I left the next morning so room charged to the credit card number I left to secure the room.

Room was clean, tea and coffee making facilities but no bottled water. The towels were off white and maybe these need replacing.

Breakfast was ok nothing special.

Drinks in the bar were expensive !

Not sure I would stay again for business or pleasure.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the Mercure Albrighton Hall hotel.

I apologise our receptionist was not available when you checked out, I have spoken to the team about the importance of being at the reception for checkout and check-in times to ensure this does not happen again.

I have passed on your feedback regarding the towels to our Housekeeping Manager so she is able to speak to our laundry company about this.

I do hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future and wish you a very happy new year.

We have just returned from a 4 day Christmas Coach Holiday. No drink on arrival after travelling nearly 12 hours - only tea and coffee (help youself) and a small piece of cake. We had to fill in our choice of menus for the 4 days on the first day!! Food very poorly presented - everything garnished with a lump of pea-shoots! Christmas Day vegetables, very few of them and over cooked, arrived half way through the dinner served on a white ceramic soup bowl. No cheese and biscuits on offer and not a mince pie in sight!! No entertainment during the day, none the first evening, 2 evenings of poor entertainment. Last night was the best but only a handful there as it wasn't advertised! No Christmas music, very few decorations. One end of the bar had no decs at all, the main bar area had a small tree and a few flashing white lights. No sign of Santa. Drinks extremely expensive - cheapest bottle of wine £24.50. Very basic rooms - no fruit or chocs to welcome you. Worst Christmas ever.

Room Tip: Avoid Stable Block and School Masters House as they are outside!!

Tired, unloved, undervalued, and poorly maintained. This is the spa and relaxation area. Since October the pool, which is only 10m long, and thus purely for relaxation, has been cold, and has not once reached the temperature of a relaxation pool. The pool and "thermal" area has cold air conditioning blasting out all the time, making sitting in any of the lounging seats impossible without being wrapped up. The thermal area facilities have had a revamp, which means new bulbs (although they still missed a few), and a vain attempt to fix the showers in this area.
After complaining after each disappointing visit, we are told that an engineer has been called.
The spa food area is also a joke, situated in a room with no windows, and a view across the corridor to reception and the antiquated gym equipment. There is a coffee machine, similar to Arkwrights till in open all hours.
They have made an effort to the "beauty" area, but at what loss to the rest of the facilities here.
I would not recommend any one to go on a spa break here, and am embarrassed to take anyone to the spa area.
The pool is usually empty, due to the temperature, the club membership is dropping, due to the apparent lack of effort to make a meaningful effort to make this the enjoyable area it should be.
