I have stayed here on a number of occasions: alone, with family, with husband and with dog... I have never been disappointed. Not the quietest of locations due to the main road at the back of the property but when you are in your room it is not an issue. They have a lake to explore, a comfortable well appointed room, and excellent food... catering for my allergies and food intolerencies is never a problem. The staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I will be back again before too long...

Room Tip: The rooms in the courtyard take dogs and they have rooms suitable for disabled guests.

A Hidden Gem!

Our stay at Greenbanks Hotel in Norfolk was delightful, a quiet location across the road from fields. It features eautifully decorated and spotlessly clean rooms with a lovely pond in back that one can walk around. We stayed in Room #9, a spacious ground floor room with an upstairs loft, entry room, and spacious bathroom. It had all the amenities. The food at the restaurant was gourmet quality, simply delicious. We stayed two nights. We could have stayed a week.

Room Tip: #9 was great!

We only stayed for one night with our 11 year old son and our puppy cocker spaniel. We were delighted with our room which was room 9 with a patio area and ample, well equipped accommodation. There was a very cosy loft style room with a double sofa bed, tv and bean bags.. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, great attention to detail with a doggy biscuit, towel and water bowl, even a poo bin outside the door!!! The food in the restaurant was excellent, fresh and well presented with a good selection. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend as somewhere to stay to explore the Norfolk coastline.

Room Tip: Room 9 was amazing ;)

We stayed at Greenbanks last night following a family occasion at the hotel during the day. Friendly staff, beautiful setting, very good food, clean spacious room, all in all very good. Would definitely recommend. If there was one thing I would change it would be the breakfast time, currently only served between 8am and 9pm. We both had to get back to work which meant we were delayed in leaving. Breakfast really should be from 7am but this would not put us off visiting again and the breakfast (full English) was superb.

I stayed for two nights in early July 2017. The owners and hotel staff were super-nice and very helpful. The hotel was extremely peaceful and a relaxing environment. Everything is tastefully decorated and modern, spotless in fact, much better than I expected from the pictures. Slept like an angel, very comfortable bed. Good breakfast (£9 supplement). About 5miles from Dereham and was approx. £10 in a taxi, which arrive within 10-15mins, ordered from front-desk. Free wifi in rooms. I wasn't around much during the day, just a couple of hours each morning, but did wander around the beautiful grounds, lake and pond where there are seats to sit and relax. I didn't make use of the other facilities such as the swimming pool. If I only had one tiny criticism it would be that there was no shower and only a bath (but a nice full-size bath and plenty of hot water).
