We had a lovely time at Salisbury Lodge. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed with a lovely bathroom with spa, king size bed, its own kitchen facilities (if you wanted to cook & do your own thing). I marvelled at the use of timbers and natural use of slate tiles in keeping with the beautiful natural surroundings. A truly relaxing time was spent admiring the beautiful birds and wildlife. The picturesque scenery and tranquility of the river was something to be adored. The hospitality of the owners made us feel like we were "home".

Room tip: I would recommend all rooms and book according to any special needs, ie disabilities.

With another couple we have just spent a long weekend at Salisbury Lodges. Second visit for us. A magnificent spot with lovely peaceful surroundings. Room was great. Outdoor fire and cooking facilities provided. A lovely cooked breakfast provided in the restaurant. Joe and Phillipa incredibly obliging helpful and friendly hosts. Could not ask for any more. Great walks from the property, no need for the car once there. Lots of birdlife around. Cant wait to return. 😊😊

My Dad and I booked this accommodation due to the good reviews and proximity to the Barrington Tops walking trails and wasn't disappointed. We arrived to meet Philipa who was very welcoming. We went up to our accommodation and found it a lot bigger than we expected and well set out. We met Joe the jovial Austrian soon after arrival who was a great guy and very informative. The next day, we did the Carey's peak walk (24km return) which was challenging, but great! We left the following morning, which rounded out a quick trip, but found in this lodge exactly what we were after!

After a horrendous start to the weekend, my mother and I were looking for a nice getaway near the Upper Allyn where we frequented for the last 20 years. Joe & Phillipa kindly opened their property for us and were so accommodating. The lodges were neat and tidy with the facilities being exceptional. The fire place was great and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting and talking whilst listening to the river.
I can't recommend this property more and I look forward to coming back and eating (as we did not get to eat in the restaurant but all the reviews in the guest book were raved about)!
