My wife and me came for a weekend in november, we had an incredibly nice and wonderful stay. Very warm wellcome, superb rooms, comida casera de lo mejor!
Las cabalgatas were wonderful, the place is really great, teh whole team so friendly, we will never forget.
We will come back!!
Very recommendable!

So let me start by telling you that finding a place to stay in Uruguay for Christmas was not an easy thing. I emailed a lot of places and many were not opened. Some quoted me a completely outrageous price and then made me feel like an intruder by "making them work on such a special day" so i was a little disheartened by the time i got in touch with La Estiria. However from then things started looking up! The price was very reasonable, the communication really good and from then on i really started looking forward to our stay. Once we got there I found that the website if anything understated how nice the place was, it really is a lovely place. The staff was really nice, the Gaucho was really friendly, he even taught us how to milk a cow! (And that's how your Spanish can be pathetic and yet back from holiday you know exactly how to say milk a cow!). I really enjoyed roaming around the farm before dinner, It is where we saw our first Armadillo, had an encounter with a friendly pig and saw a beautiful sunset. We only stayed one night but I would have enjoyed staying an other night. My only criticism would be that i didn't love the food but actually it was on a par with the other Estancia we stayed at. I recommend this place.
