The Hayloft suite at Greystones was exactly what we wanted for our wedding night. After a busy day, the room looked amazing - homely and welcoming, the four-poster bed was comfortable, the bath was relaxing and the cake left for us tasted amazing. Also, having breakfast delivered to our door the next morning was heaven! We'd definitely like to come and stay again. Sheena and Ian are excellent hosts and really do all they can to make your stay the best it can be.

Greystones was only a short cab ride away from our wedding venue of Kelham Hall, so is an ideal location for the Newark area, but also remote enough to get away from it all!

Room Tip: The Hayloft room is where we stayed and is an excellent room for couples for any special occasion.

We have just had one of the nicest 24 hours in our married life, we used a christmas gift from our son and his wife to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary, and what a very pleasurable experience this turned out to be, we have been to many countries thoughout the world and stayed in some wonderful hotels but this was something special. From the moment we arrived to when we left everything was just perfect, homemade cake to welcome us, fresh cut flowers in our room, and the room was something very special indeed. The luxurious bathroom and the magnificent fourposter bed "perfect". Breakfast the following morning was again perfect, it contained lots of homemade items, was freshly cooked and the choices were many and varied. Thank you Ian and Sheena for making our stay a memorable one. Gina and Alick Mackenzie.

Room Tip: We can recommend the Hayloft but feel sure any room at this establishment will not disappoint.

My partner and I stayed for one night on the 10th May and were not disappointed! The room (Fleur de Lys) was VERY comfortable with better facilities than we have had in a lot of big hotels. From the 'welcome' pieces of home made cake waiting for us in the room to the wonderful breakfast with home made preserves and marmalade the next morning, Sheena and Ian's attention to detail was exceptional. Thank you Sheena and Ian for your hospitality.

What can we say lovely idyllic peaceful setting, superbly cooked breakfast, very accomodating hosts, a most pleasurable experience - make sure you try the home made jams, a very special place.

Carol & Pete we will be back, highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you want your own space with added service the hayloft is ideal.

We stayed for 2 nights in The Hayloft. Beautiful four poster bed and luxury bathroom. Everything provided that we could possibly need including 2 pieces of home-made cake and a jug of fresh milk in the fridge. Our hosts Sheena and Ian were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu was really varied and really well prepared - very enjoyable. It is also situated in a beautiful part of the country. Highly recommended. Would definately go again.
