Stumbled across this basement restaurant and we were lucky to be seated without a booking. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy yet not cramped and the open kitchen added a little theatre, and wamth, to the evening. The menu is not overly large or complex, yet the range of offerings will satisfy most. The meals we chose were both generous in proportions and of a high standard. The home made cured meats platter is very good, particularly the Jamon and Mortadella whilst the prawns were excellent. The beef short ribs that were roasting looked very appetising - we just didn't think we could get through them. Maybe next time. Wines available by the glass is a little limited, yet what we selected turned out to be very nice so perhaps it is a case of substance over variety. Service, when it arrived, was very good, however it was obvious that the team still have some way to go in ticking off this box. Overall, a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings.
