This garden has such potential and promise but it just fails to deliver. Even allowing for the early spring visit, the garden appeared sad and a little bit neglected. Compared to other gardens we have visited around the world and, very recently, in the UK, it was very disappointing. It seems that no time, money or creativity have been invested in this garden and that is, indeed, a shame.

The Botanical gardens are free to wander round and from all angles they give a great view of the iconic buildings of the Opera House and Harbour bridge. Grat for just lazing around in or wandering along the harbour path. Well worth the visit

Just walk toward the Opera house in this great botanical garden, great views towards opera house and skyline of Sydney . Walk for a few hours and relax in shades watching ibissen and other animals, people walking around , the opera house views, overall it’s an quiet and relaxing place in the middle of Sydney. Very clean, no admission, it’s closed in the evening

Large gardens that you could walk around all day. Very pleasant waterside views and some nice wildlife and plants to observe. All free.
