Owner description: Circular Quay is a colorful port where ferries and cruise ships board and depart, and boat watching can be as good a pastime as people watching. While street performers entertain outside, those wanting a more cultural experience can head into the Museum of Contemporary Art where a sculpture garden on the roof is as much a view as the waterways below.

The jumping off point to board a cruise ship or ferry of the harbor....Ferries to Manly is a wonderful day trip as so much to do once you get there and getting there is spectacular on the harbor...

This is like the mid-point between Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. In addition, it’s also the main ferry terminal and train station. Lots of cafes and shops around, but things can be a bit pricey. Just grab an ice cream, enjoy the buskers and soak up the atmosphere.

Love the views and the walks with all the cafes, bars around which makes you spoilt for choices but it works just fine.

This is a must to see when visiting Sydney. The main ferry terminal to and fro the city, with buskers, shops, restaurants and so many sights. Sit on the lawn out the front of the museum of contemporary arts and watch the ferries, look at the opera house and people watch. A fantastic spot to visit to see a major part of Sydney.

Even if you are not going anywhere by ferry, it is well worth visiting this natural transport hub. The proximity to the harbour gives it a relaxing vibe, even though it can get really busy. The restaurants are expensive.
