I come from a restaurant family.... I know things don't always go right and it's how you deal with those problems that's important. The evening started ok with a great duck liver parfait and a pretty good steak tartare. However, it was all downhill from there. When you pay $80 for steak and fries, you expect it to come out at least warm. When we told the maitre d that the fries and steak were cold, it was whisked away and returned after some sort of half-hearted attempt at being warmed via microwave or kitchen warmer. Whatever it was, it was NOT effective. Out of our table of 6, not only our meal was poor. Everyone else had varying degrees of cold steak and cold fries, even the side dish of broccoli was cold. Service was EXTREMELY poor. No offers of refilling our glasses when empty or knowing who ordered what. You don't have to be Einstein to figure out that two people are sharing a "steak for two". WTF? When we asked for the bill and the rest of our $65 bottle of wine, the waitress made a move to open a brand new bottle of wine, rather than serve the remaining half bottle that she had already started serving us. When I approached the man who looked like the owner to respectfully make a complaint, he replied "I'm not the owner anymore. Would you like me to call the manager to your table?" My response was "yes please". Although the manager took the $80 steak off the bill, there was not exactly a big apology made and we felt like they couldn't wait to see us out the door. In fact, I was a bit worried the chef was going to come after us. By that time, we were adamant that we were going to at least finish our win before getting out of there. There were a million other service issues that I won't go into. Needless to say, DO NOT RECOMMEND! Sorry I even have to give 1 star in order to post this review.
