As above. The cleanliness of this place was immaculate! It has a lovely pool area and a fridge in every room. Housekeeping staff don't hassle you if you want to sleep in! Near the city but hire car would help. I love this place and would stay again. Tip: if you are unable to walk upstairs ask for ground floor. This is definitely a hidden gem. Just do it !

Due to very early arrival (1.30am) reception organised key and directions to room. We were on first floor, room basic, clean with bathroom and hot water with no issues. A short walk to Parap Village where breakkie places can be found. Recommend The Laneway. Also short walk to bus stop, 10 mins drive to town. After a day at Museum and watching sunset on Mindil Beach and partaking of the night market, we walked back to Motel, 20 mins. Reception staff easygoing, if you want a room with all the basics this is fine.

This place looks a bit dodgy from the exterior and I checked in with trepidation.
But what a pleasant surprise! The staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly... the room was lovely.... immaculate with great quality towels and bed linen.Had been staying in the CBD at a more upmarket hotel and wished that I had found this first. The bed was way more comfortable at Paravista ... there was a little balcony for fresh air with great security and the tv worked on ALL the stations with a remote that was all inclusive... not just on/off vol & ch . Absolutely lovely and $100 pn Cheaper than the other property. NOT a resort, but everything you need for a comfortable stay. I will definitely be staying here again.

The Paravista has everything you need for a no frills motel room in the leafy suburbs. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, the decent sized bar fridge is good for storage and bathrooms are fine. And it has big mugs for tea/coffee (an essential for me!). A good writing desk if you want to get some work done.
It is quiet and has plenty of parking space if you're driving, not too far from a bus stop if you aren't. Best of all it's 5 mins walk from the wonderful Parap markets and 10 min bus ride into the city. Much cheaper and just as good as posh place in the city. Reception closes early but they leave a key out for you so no problems getting in.

Room Tip: If you can't climb stairs ask for a ground floor room

Paravista Motel is basic accommodation but definitely overpriced for what you get. We arrived to a very hot room and the AC unit was so noisy it made it difficult to sleep. The room wasn't dirty but it wasn't very clean. All in all not a great experience especially considering the price. The staff were responsive and helpful over email and friendly in person when we encountered them, but quite absent! The motel is located about 5 mins drive from the centre and well connected by bus routes but it is much quieter and a generally nicer area
