My overall impression of this boutique hotel is it’s a little too cool for its own good. Well presented but they haven’t thought about the little things. Like the valet parking. You have to pull your car up in front of the hotel on a busy street in a no parking zone, check in and then have your car taken to a car park. There are much better hotels in Brisbane.

Hey Adam,

Cheers for the review and I'm really sorry that our unique take on effortless living didn't sparkle you.

There are 3 drop off bays directly out the front of the hotel - however we agree that it's a busy little street and despite our requests, council hasn't come to the party with new parking signage. Like you, I was also unable to find a Brisbane City Council page on TripAdvisor, but I will be sure to continue lobbying for change by including a copy of your feedback with our rates cheque.

Please do feel free to contact me directly if there's anything else about your stay we can learn from - or alternatively if I can personalise the experience on your next stay in Brisbane to provide you with some much happier memories.

Apologies again,
Nick

A colleague and I stayed here on a work trip. On arrival we were welcomed with a glass of good quality bubbles whist the attentive team checked us into our rooms.

On arrival in our rooms, we were presently surprised to find all the mod cons imaginable including a free mini bar, comfy bed and an Alexa mini. Bathroom was amazing and it was a shame to have to go to dinner.

The restaurant was really lovely with great food and very attentive service.

Sleep well in peaceful dreams and got Alexa to play my favourite music while I got ready to head downstairs for breakfast, which was just delicious.

Throughly recommend if you are ever in Brisbane. I’ll be back

A real quirky funky hotel .
From its choice of little sweets in the lounge to fruit flavored water dispenser with different fruit each day
Breakfast really interesting menu and flavor some.
Staff so friendly and location great .
A lot of character with the old style lift < modern workings > .70s 80s memorabilia.
Would use again

This is a fabulously funky hotel in a city of boring mainstream hotels. Great value with free Wi-Fi, mini bar and a goody bag plus breakfast if you book direct. Service is excellent as you would expect in a hotel that has recently been renovated and pulled out of the Accor group. As I travel on business a lot, a hotel with a sense of character, style and fun is a wonderful break from the corporate monotony. Valet parking only but at a reasonable rate. There is limited room to pull up out the front so be prepared to do a few laps. A good location well spaced between the city and Fortitude Valley. Standard rooms are a bit small but very comfortable.

Room Tip: The 2 story loft rooms are brilliant!

Hey there Platinumtraveler71,

Awesome review! - we've decided to frame your "fabulously funky hotel in a city of boring mainstream hotels" quote and hang it above our fireplace.

As a heritage listed building, most of our room configurations are unique and we do have some of the largest rooms in Brisbane available - give us a call or email direct next time so we can share some options o give you a bit more space.

Cheers
Nick & the Ovolo Inchcolm crew.

Great hotel. Quirky, stylish, cosy. Fantastic to see they are offering guests a benefit when you book direct. It gets you a free minibar (Yes it's limited to a couple of Peronis, wines and coke - but still...), Free open bar happy hour and a delicious free continental breakfast in the morning. We will be back. (The 80's music throughout was a little unsettling)

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to one of the larger rooms - we got one
