We (2 parents and a 14 year old daughter) were visiting Brisbane from Adelaide to see a grand parent on Bribie Island on a Wednesday and Saturday as well as a couple of visits to theme parks on the Thursday and Friday. Mother still had to work from the room on a lap top on Thurs and Fri whilst dad and daughter went trill seeking. The location for us to go up and down the coast equally and to have the hotel right in the middle of the city along side the mall and eateries was perfect for us. We booked a sub penthouse for the stay so our 14 year old could have her space. Our room was 603 that was on the Elizabeth Street side. The noise from the street during the first night from construction works was terrible and asked in the morning to be moved. Staff were excellent and moved to a 2 bedroom apartment 403 on Albert Street side which was peaceful. Hotel is of an older era but very comfortable with all the modern cons. Car parking on site is well priced and very handy. Great value and great staff.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from Elizabeth Street

We had booked a Suite for 3 nights and were horrified when we walked into it, it was very dated 1970's carpet, kitchen and bathroom. Carpets were dark, kitchen dark brown and lighting generally did not make it much brighter. The only plus was the Queen bed was large and comfortable. HOEVER our biggest complaint there was none/minimal noise insulation between us and the next room so we could hear the person next door brushing their teeth and other using the toilet. As this person was awake early, it woke us up, and we did not necessarily go back to sleep.

Room was clean but as I have said before smelled musty.

Although centrally situated and with car parking, the standard of décor in the room let it down. This is a self catering Hotel.

Room Tip: Very dated decor

Stayed at this hotel last weekend. We booked through Booking.com and thought the hotel was very comfortable, easy to find, central and close to everything we wanted to see in Brisbane. We were booked in by a very busy receptionist who seemed to be running the whole hotel on her own. She was great (Liz?) My only gripe is that we did not have WiFi, apparently because we had booked through a 3rd party. We could have paid but why should we? The hotel is happy to accept bookings through internet platforms, but there was a letter from the manager in the room pointing out that we may have paid less if we had booked direct but without booking.com we would not have known anything about the hotel! Small niggle but discriminatory I thought.

Otherwise nice stay.

Room Tip: We had a suite, very well equipped.

The Royal Albert, Brisbane, is an ideal central location with great apartment style rooms. Not your modern artistic style apartment, but comfortable, spacious room that are great to relax into of an evening, would not choose anywhere else

Absolutely loved our stay at this motel. It has old world charm and is off the main road.
The staff are friendly and helpful-we had an issue with air conditioning but it was quickly fixed with a call to reception and a reset of unit.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff!
Great location-close to major shopping hub, the cinema is literally across the road in the huge shopping complex.
Also can highly recommend the cafe downstairs - cafe Mondial their food is devine!!
Taxi rank is directly opposite te hotel making it easy to get a cab at anytime
Look forward to staying here again when we next visit Brisbane!!
