Siam Pagoda has been a regular with us, for both dine in and take away, over the past 5 years.
We enjoyed another good meal here last night with a small group of 6. Thursday night in Brisbane has been the bain of many a restauranteur, however, Siam Pagoda enjoyed good numbers of dine in patrons and a steady flow of take away customers.
This restaurant has a lot of repeat customers and that is a good reflection of the consistant food and friendly staff.
Last night we had five different dishes and each was enjoyed. The food here is not necessarily the best and most authentic Thai available. It is, however, of a good consistent quality that keeps people coming back. I do have a few comments about the quality and presentation of some ingredients, particularly the seafood. Basa being used in the Tamarind Fish dish is disappointing as the texture of this fish is not particularly enjoyable. Similarly the omni-present Vannamaii prawns, with tail on ever in soup dishes, are poor.
The service staff are friendly and attentive and overall this is a good suburban restaurant.
