We have been here a few times but not lately in the last couple of years for some reason so decided to see how it was going. I don't know why we ever stopped coming here because it hasn't changed and is just so good. When one has found the perfect place to eat one should not keep looking. Our steaks were like butter cooked to perfection with a barley risotto and asparagus. With a bottle of wine between the two of us what more could one want. Service was excellent and they were reasonably busy for a Saturday lunch. We have had most of the stayers on the menu and they are all good. Love this place.

Some things never change as is said "if you do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result you are a bloody idiot". We have always enjoyed the meals served but the service has always been terrible. Staff spend more time socialising with each other than serving. So you have a choice, go there and know that staff come first or go to the Vine where you come first. Very disappointing as the food is quite OK.

Thank you to the chef and staff at the Continental Cafe for the sensational job of catering my partner's 60th Birthday party. It couldn't have been better. The private room was set our perfectly, the food was spot on, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meals, and everyone's meals arrived at the same time (no mean feat) and our waitresses were fantastic, we were looked after so well. A perfect combination and a perfect venue. There is a reason we've been returning to the Continental Cafe for over 20 years, the food is consistently good, whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner, and the staff are amazing. Thank you again.

My family celebrated mums 70th in the private dining room adjoining the main part of the restaurant. The service was excellent, their signature chicken risotto very tasty, along with other main meals and coffee

Bewildered by the rapid and increasing changes in one of our favourite Brisbane areas, we decided to try Continental Cafe, knowing it is loved by locals. Our first visit had disappointed us many years ago. Must have been a "What the heck" mood because we are strictly not into the commercialization of St Valentine''s Day either, but finding somewhere a touch intimate among the brash noisy eating joints of Teneriffe/Newstead/ New Farm is near impossible. On arrival, we were seated immediately in a quiet corner banquette. By 1 pm when we arrived after enjoying a movie across the road, a few local clients were finishing their lunches and a local businesswoman came in for her takeaway lunch. Service was discrete and superbly intuitive. At first I was a little disappointed in the menu choices offering only simple European classics. Continental is so much more than France, Spain, and Italy. Gourmet Eastern European cuisine and wine (especially Hungarian) is the new exciting go to. I would love to see one or two interesting dishes with a glance to the East. Looking around at my fellow diners who seemed very much at home, I figured this pair of "blow-ins" from the country should just do as the Novofarmians do. Comfort food in a heat wave is chilled gazpacho in the cool dark corner of a cave. Crisp sofshelled crab and a scattering of coriander leaves added interest. Our wahoo chalkboard special with a red capsicum jus was perfectly prepared and plated. So many Tripadvisor members raved about Continental Cafe's desserts we had to try Conti's creme brulee. The creme brulee was the summation of Continental Cafe's successful formula: "keep it simple and honest".

Si le résumé est simple et honnête, vous aurez déjà fait la moitié du chemin.
