So the fish weren't 'on' in the estuary when I visited at end of June 2017, 7 people on board and two nanygai were caught, one of which was undersized and returned to the deep. The boat was clean, the tour guide knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I've done these types of fishing expeditions before and I've decided I have one complaint. The accepted practice is that the first part of the trip involves the tour guide netting tiddlers for live bait, about 45 minutes. That's time I'd have rather spent fishing, they all seem to do it so maybe they have a good reason to do it that way.
