We stopped in here for lunch and beers on a relaxed day in Port Douglas. The kids ordered pizza (margherita and a bbq chicken) and I had smoked pork tacos. My husband had the fish and chips and my son had the kids pasta, which we ordered with the sauce on the side.I found the tacos to be okay; not amazing or anything. While the pizzas were good with a nice crispy crust, and my husband enjoyed the fish and chips, our fries were tepid and the food was delivered at different times, so half of us were finished eating while others were just starting. Our son's pasta was delivered with the sauce mixed in, which our server insisted was "Just how it's prepared" even though the person at the bar from whom we ordered our food assured us the sauce would be on the side. Then my daughters wanted to take their pizzas home and the uneaten pasta from my son. Our server insisted that they had no way of sending home takeaway food. She even came back twice and insisted. So I asked for just some foil to wrap our pizza and pasta in since we had a short drive to our villa. She came back with a pizza box and said there was a misunderstanding. (She was American and the chef/cook was Australian, so I'm not sure of the language barrier, but whatever.) The beers were ok, nothing to write home about, basic IPA's and such from a basic brewery. The location is nice and sitting on the dock watching the boats come and go is also pretty cool, but I'd stick to basics here, don't expect to be blown away by anything and be prepared for uneven service. Otherwise, pretty good food, average tourist area prices (high-ish but that's how it goes) and a great view/ambiance for lunch nibbles and beers.
