Really enjoyed our dinner here. Fresh and tasty Italian. Right on the Main Street. Friendly service.

We had the lunchtime special on our day of arrival and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was as tasty as always and the service was friendly. My wife left her sunnies there and they didn't mind stopping their own meal to pass them back to her when we called by later in the afternoon when they were actually closed.

The restaurant had been recommended to us in the past and so we decided to try it. We were seated at a nice table overlooking the "action" on Macrossan Street. I tried the Special - veal scallopinni in mushroom sauce with oven roasted potatoes and green beans. The veal was o.k. but the potatoes were roasted to death, several times, while the green beans were undercooked and tough - nothing special about this dish. My husband had the linguine tutto mare, which was actually spaghetti and not linguine, and the seafood was unremarkable with no sauce so dry. Two very disappointing meals. The desserts were better but the tiramisu was drowned in syrup and very sweet. The flourless chocolate cake with raspberry accompaniments was very good - the highlight!! The service was friendly and the location good but overall a disappointment.

We live in Cairns, and should we feel like a lazy and scenic drive up to Port Douglas, we usually end up lunching at Bel Cibo. It never disappoints. We dine as a couple and also with friends and family. It is relaxed dining. The restaurant offers a two course lunch special or choose from the regular menu. My husband loves the octopus, the ciabatta bread with olive dip is delicious, I usually choose the fish and chips, my kids often choose pizza. The dessert trio is yummy. The salads are also lovely, wash it all down with a chilled wine or beer and watch the people go by on the main street just below.
