My partner and I recently moved to Park Avenue. Checked out the food at Park Ave H/M tonight and oh my lord!! Amazing! And for a great price! The bar is good too! We've been to the bar a couple times. Such a lovely atmosphere. You really feel welcomed here

Shame no WiFi access. Also no biscuits in the tea coffee stash as said in the hand book. Not sure if it is the local conditions at the moment but TV was coming n going on one transponder. Otherwise was ok and quite.

You never quite know what you will find when you arrive at a hotel. While the pictures are always great we have been disappointed many times. I am happy to say the P A was not one of those times. Rooms are suffient and clean great shower and Management very accommodating to anything we needed. Beautiful restaurant and sports bar if you are after something more casual. Will stay here again.

If you want to break the trip north then Rockhampton comes into play. This hotel is relatively new, in a quiet area, has good free parking and excellent food.
Front office is friendly and the barman Ashley is an absolute treat.
The restaurant is a tad expensive but eat in the sports bar, which is just fine and the food comes from the same kitchen. The food on offer is brilliant. Honestly, we've eaten all over the world and really rate the food here.
The room is small but the bed is comfortable. Good aircon and a toaster and kettle so bring your own breakfast kit.
All in all a very good spot to overnight.

Room tip: No wifi and all rooms are equal
