If you want to close to Surfers Paradise but not in amongst the hoo ha, then this resort is a good option. Probably 10-12 min walk to Cavill Mall, or 2-3 min ride in on the newish tram line with a stop right behind the resort. We paid for an ocean view room which was a proper 1 bedroom apartment with everything included. We had a good size balcony which a table & 4 chairs & a nice view of the ocean(we were on the 18th floor).
The place is well appointed, new & has everything you need for a self contained stay. It was quiet which was important for us. Free parking & Wi-Fi is great as we had a rental car which are so cheap in the Gold Coast. Room had a Tv in the good sized lounge room & another on the wall in the bedroom for those that are inclined to watch Tv in bed.
There is a new cafe downstairs which is reasonable quality but a little on the high side price wise & a limited menu. There is not much else around unless you walk down to Surfers or up to Tedder Av, Main Beach.
Couple of small things, the apartment has 2 air conditioners, one to service the main kitchen/living area & the other in the bedroom. The problem is the one in the bedroom is not above the bed pointing away from you but rather on the opposite wall blowing directly on to you as you sleep. The bedroom can get a little stuffy so we turned it on but even on low fan & high temp it resulted in me getting a cold from it blowing on me all night.
The other thing is the main living area has a sheer curtain but no block out curtain & given the sun rises from that direction, it resulted in quite a warm living area every morning.
Regardless I think the property was good value overall & if you want somewhere quiet & don’t mind the walk or $6-7 Uber to restaurants, than this is the place.
