We went here on our final night on the GC for dinner. We ordered from the Ala carte menu. We ordered several entrees to share and each ordered a main. The food is plentiful and fantastic. The Service is also great, nothing is a problem . Everything looks like something from a magazine and the flavours are great. Would definitely be back for more when we return.

It was a quiet rainy evening so the atmosphere wasn't great. The food was very nice and the service good, but overall quite expensive.

Paid for the most expensive set menu. Asked for my steak to be served 'Blue' instead it came out medium. The problem is I watched them serve the group opposite us and almost fall over them with service and serve them up the blue steak I ordered. It appears I wasn't important enough.

They have lost the plot and it feels out of place in the new style QT complex

We have been coming to Yamagen for the past 25 years and have never been disappointed once. We recommend the A la carte menu. We recently tried Shogun Japanese restaurant in Southport and were very disappointed and are so happy to return to Yamagen. It is in my opinion the best Japanese restaurant in the world - best quality and best value.
