We wanted to eat at Bonnie restaurant at least once during our stay on Hamilton Island. I discovered that it has a set tasting menu every Saturday night. We’ve never had a tasting menu before and thought it might be a nice experience. The restaurant was beautiful. All diners were seated in a way that they all had a view out over the water. It was a really lovely atmosphere. Staff were very attentive. When we looked at the menu, we thought there was going to be a few dishes each we didn’t like. But this was not the case. Every dish was superb. Presentation of each dish was wonderful. Each dish contained so many different elements, from gels to foams to sponges. It was all fantastic. Each serve was so small, which was great because it gave you a taste of everything without anything being too much. By the end of the evening we were so full. We didn’t have the matching wines, as out wine tastes are very limited and we wouldn’t have enjoyed them. So we simply ordered wine (from a very extensive list) that we each enjoyed. It was a fabulous evening. We were so glad we shared this wonderful experience.

Wasn't aware this is always a Tasting Menu with parred wines. The staff does an excellent job of presenting each course and he wine. The food was delicious and the presentation was very special. It is an expensive evening.

Utterly exceptional

The restaurant is hailed as the best on Hamilton but I am not into foam sauces and pretty looking dishes.
My wife had venison and I reckon a good surgeon could have got it going again.

Far to fancy and more about the look and presentation than the taste.
Some people are into this sort of thing so that's fine, I should have researched so its my fault.
The staff were excellent.
