Description: Georges on Waymouth was established by George & Voula Kasimatis in November 2002, with the aim of serving fresh seasonal produce with impeccable service in a classic European setting. In the heart of Adelaide's CBD, Georges on Waymouth is an undeniable crowd pleaser, continually striving for excellence amongst locals and interstate guests. The dining room is stylish and minimalist with crisp linen tablecloths, high ceilings and wooden floorboards. A distinctly Mediterranean menu takes advantage of seasonal fare with beautiful delights such as Jerusalem artichoke veloute, artichoke skins, wild mushrooms, beurre noisette. Tortellini of osso-buco, green olive gremolata, grana padano, krispy kale. Our signature dish Lamb Press, pancetta, mustard fruits, caramelised cauliflower, grilled sprouts, black sherry. Chocolate fondant, mandarin ice cream, cardamom tuile - sensational! We went there to check if the reports of fine dining were true.
Staff were friendly and helpful, food was average, noise was deafening, decor disappointing (stripped out old building) environment inside and outside definitely not relaxing.
Some of the food was interesting (the flamed tuna) but in general not to my expectation for the quite high prices.

Our party of 3 had the Tasting Menu. It was absolutely delicious with very generous portions. Our waiter DJ and the lovely waitresses were terrific and nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend visiting this fine dining restaurant.

Had a lovely meal here on the Friday night of our stay, very helpful and polite staff, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Delicious food and great wine!

A short notice phone reservation was happily accommodated in this busy restaurant and upon arrival we were greeted by George and shown to a table. The waiting staff were all equally friendly and we had a really good meal.

Starters of duck salad and kataifi prawns were both fresh with good flavours, and we both enjoyed the lamb 'signature dish' which has been on the menu for nine years. With desserts, wine ($44) and liqueurs it came to $234 including the wine.

Would cheerfully return
