A trip up and down Mt. Wellington/kunanyi should be on every visitor's list. We headed to the top and then hiked down halfway, to be picked up by a returning Explorer Bus. The staff at the wharf office were super efficient and our driver was most friendly and knowledgeable. A surprisingly solid experience all in.

good pickup/drop off spots. however, seemed disorganised and management was not great. if you’re wanting the hop-on hop-off option you should definitely tell the driver before you get on as they will assume you’re going straight to the top (even after telling our driver he forgot to drop us off).

It is disappointing hearing your feedback on management. Our drivers are all very passionate and provide live commentary, which they all get very into, as they love sharing their knowledge with their passengers. As with any bus service, it is always best to ensure that you press the button if you wish to hop off somewhere. Our drivers do try their hardest to remember the requests of passengers, but it is always nice to have a reminder.

The view from Mt Wellington was totally awesome, we could see hundreds of miles. The coach driver was perfect with a lot of knowledge. It was warm with just a light breeze at the top, but this was a 26 degree day in town and you should take a jacket as its usually very windy and much colder at the top.
