This is a sort of different Japanese restaurant. Food is modern and tasty. I was there in February. I went after being referred and was not disappionted.

Came here because we love Japanese food, and we had a voucher in the entertainment book. This was a quirky little place to come into. Upstairs, but then through a few weird doorways, and to start with we weren't sure we were in the right place. But once in, it was a warm, welcoming environment; lots of kind welcomes from wait and kitchen staff. The menu was fab, with so much to choose from. We opted for one of the 3 course options, and there was so much food! Even without the voucher, it was a good price for plenty of tasty food. Highly recommended.

Used the entertainment book and came here for the first time. Greeted by friendly staff. Interior suited to the cuisine, however furniture a bit tacky. There are so many items on the menu - takes a while to read them all. Enjoyed six meals shared with my partner. Unfortunately on the evening we visited, they were out of spanner crab so couldn't have those dishes. Had the marinated salmon (yum), deep fried chicken (average), miso soup (yum), tempura platter (one prawn and lots of vegetables - overpriced), dumplings (disappointing), seaweed salad (tasty) and a few other little bits. Would definitely visit again and try some more of the multiple menu options.

We ordered $35 course meal and yakitori, but the food quality was far under their price.

i had dinner with some friends there recently, the menu was extensive but not very descriptive. ambience was OK for a rather small place.

the food was delicious - traditional japanese fare, served fresh. unfortunately service left a lot to be desired. for our table of 6, 4 of us ordered set meals and 2 had individual dishes; all 4 sets were served at the same time (with rather lengthy gaps in between courses), but the 2 friends with me eating individual dishes all had their meals served whilst intermittently whilst we were waiting, which was disappointing. ultimately, there was rather alot of waiting around!
