The accommodation was very small looking out onto a brick wall. The single beds were so close it felt like a double. The hallway carpet was badly stained. Ask for upper room with possible sunlight. The reception lacks atmosphere and would benefit with floral arrangements. Good location and eating out was great, recommend 1 Hotpot in Little Bourke St. Would not stay again unless upper floor.

This is a modern hotel on Bourke Street at the Chinatown end of the city. We were only there for one night, but the location was perfect for what we were after. We had a dinner reservation at Flower Drum (best Chinese Restaurant in Melbourne) which was a 1 minute walk away.
The room was clean and modern with a very comfy bed. We had a studio room with cooking facilities and the bathroom had a fully enclosed large shower area.
As we were there on a Sunday night, we used a car park around the corner on Exhibition St (1 minute away) for $10 for the night (although we had to move the car by 7am on the Monday), as opposed to the Citadines carpark at $30.
We were very happy with the quality of the room and would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here for ~ 10 days - decent sized room with comfortable bed.
My studio apartment had no view but the compensation was that noise was not an issue.

Clean and regular cleaning service (except for Sunday). The kitchenette is handy - 2 stovetops, microwave and mini oven, kettle, good cutlery and a small fridge - but small and good for small meals.

Bathroom reasonably equipped with basic amenities. Showers but no bath tub.
Only minor detail is that the hot water - even turned up to the maximum - is reasonable but not as hot as I would have liked. I am unsure if this is because it appears to be a disabled-equipped bathroom that it is a safety mechanism against burns?

I like the small self-service laundrette on some levels of the hotel - you get a token from the front desk, insert it in, pour in some detergent and off you go. It makes it easier for longer term stayers.

Location is excellent - walkable to the trams, to swanston street shops, close to many restaurants, and also convenient stores. Even reasonable walking distance to Parliament train station. There is a post-office next door which is also convenient. Easy walk to some excellent restaurants eg. the press club, ezard or movida.

From the airport, you can take one of the airport shuttles (at departures - head towards the information counter) which drops you off directly in front of the hotel.

Tried Heirloom restaurant - great ambience, good liquor list, food is good but not outstanding.

Overall, an excellent serviced apartment for the price range. Would definitely be back.

We have stayed in dozens of apartments & hotels in Melbourne over the years and I have to say this has been the best place we have stayed. The location is fantastic, right next to China Town (yum!) and with trams running straight past the door. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that was a corner room overlooking Bourke Street and it was very spacious. The bed was very comfy. On Saturday night we could hear the nightclub nearby but it was not too bad. We got a 3 for the price of 2 deal via the hotels own website which made it good value. The staff were very friendly. Hard to fault this place.

We recently stayed four nights at the Citadines on Bourke, Melbourne.
Our room was clean and except for Saturday night partiers outside, very quiet. Being our first stop in Australia, we appreciated the comfortable bed.
The kitchenette was nice to have for morning coffee and breakfast.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, just a short walk from the Yarra River and the G - where we took in our first footy game.
There are tons of shops and restaurants within a short walk of this hotel - I highly recommend it!
