Home to over 600 small businesses, discover a variety of clothing, jewellery and souvenirs and revel in the atmosphere of the heritage listed Meat, Fish and Dairy halls. Queen Victoria Market is also a great place to enjoy a meal, grab one of Melbourne’s best coffees and enjoy a truly unique shopping experience. Indulge in some of the best food the Market has to offer, learn about the rich history and meet some of the colourful characters who call the Market home (bookings essential). Throughout Winter, Queen Vic Market plays host to Melbourne’s original night market. The popular Wednesday night event showcases a dazzling program of live entertainment, roving performers, artisan and hand made shopping and a large array of global street food.

Unfortunately, the day we visited the markets the weather was bad - high cold winds and rain. However, as the majority of stalls are under cover, it did not deter us and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Although there are many stalls selling the same or similar products, there is still a good variety of goods. The leather jackets/coats impressed me with the quality and price. Same goes for shoes, many well known makes.
Stall holders were friendly. without being pushy. A few characters to be found amongst them!
There is also a good variety of fresh food and when you are up for a breather, plenty of food and drinks for refreshment.
I shall certainly visit again on any future visits to Melbourne.

Thank Mary O

Night market is a fun place to visit, but just some street food and shops, not a must do thing but good to have.

Lots to see. Interesting shops selling cheese fresh produce and food. The miscellaneous goods are deeper in the market. Some does craft work and customisation.

Went to both the Wednesday night market and back on Friday for the day market. Both were awesome. The night market has entertainment, lots of options for food and drinks and vendors! The day market was more/different vendors and fruit and vegetable stalls. A must do in Melbourne and you want to do both if you have time!
