It's located in the heart of Melbourne from which you can reach Victoria market and other landmarks easily on foot. However, I experienced multiple issues with this hotel. 1) When I emailed them to book extra one night, they didn't correspond at all until I emailed them again to disregard the request. 2) The rooms were overbooked and my colleagues and I had to move to other hotels with a very short notice. 3) Some staff had attitude issues and were quite rude time to time. 4) They have an interesting lunch system - receiving an order from each guest - but it took over 20-30 min to order and be served. Often they confused with orders from other tables.

The hotel is situated in a great location, close to transport, shops and the Vic market. However the facilities are limited at the hotel and the rooms are only poor. I was at the Jasper hotel for 2 days of training where we were left with insufficient air conditioning in our training rooms.
The staff were polite but not overly helpful over the phone.

It is disappointing to read your comments regarding our guest rooms and customer service. If you could kindly contact me on lauren.wood@jasperhotel.com.au so I can obtain some more details.

Please accept my apologies for the issue with the air-conditioning in your training room - we did experience difficulties in one of our rooms last Thursday which has since been resolved. I can definitely appreciate this may have caused some discomfort and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding.

Hope to hear from you soon.

My wife and I chose this hotel as we were attending a concert at Rod Laver Arena. The hotel is in a fantastic location right next to Victoria Market and several excellent cafes and restaurants. (We had fantastic tapas at El Rincon on Victoria Street). The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we noted the they performed a variety of tasks including working behind the bar and serving/waiting on in the restaurant too! The service was excellent in all areas. The hotel itself is modern, and our room was bright and clean, with a decent-sized flat-screen TV. Foxtel was a nice bonus!, The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed a glass of wine sitting on the spacious balcony looking out onto the hustle and bustle of Elizabeth street. Breakfast was included with our booking, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Jasper hotel is a modern, no-frills hotel, with staff who understand good customer service. This hotel is very good value for money, and we will definitely book again for future short stays in the CBD.

The bed was comfortable, room a decent size and staff very very friendly. The restaurant is very good. Unfortunately there are a number of things wrong and I am unlikely to book that hotel again:
(1) the shower leaks, limited hot water in the morning and not enough towel hooks in bathroom
(2) restaurant closes very early and so does the bar
(3) WiFi is weak and often drops or is completely unavailable
(4) very noisy
(5) dirty bed linen did not get changed
(6) no public access to stairs (you need to get escorted to go up and stairs are stinking of urine) which is paired with slow lifts!

Dear Flo P,

Thank you for taking the time to share your review on TripAdvisor.

It is disappointing to hear that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Your feedback has been shared with our Maintenance and Houskeeping Managers to review the areas highlighted.

For the benefit of travellers reading this review: Our Kitchen closes at 9:30pm each evening and the bar remains open until late - the earliest time the bar closes would be 10:30pm, but we usually remain open until 11:00pm or 11:30pm.

Flo, it was good to hear however, that you found the bed to be comfortable, your room a good size and our staff to be very friendly.

Thank you and hope to see you again in future.

Best regards,

Lauren Wood

A good value spot to rest ones head during the week. Conveniently located on Elizabeth St on a tram line and a stones through from Stop 5. Cute little rooms, nice and cosy. Excellent and attentive staff.
