There are a few bbq places now popping up around Australia. Some do it ok, and others are pretty ordinary, but here was great!

We got the $99 platter shared between 4 adults. It more than filled is up and could not finish it all. The best meat was the beef brisket, and would say our least favourite was the pastrami. But all were good.

For some good traditional American bbq this is about the best we have tried.

The peanut butter cake for dessert was another item that we shared and again was great!

If you are craving a taste of real southern style USA BBQ, then check out Big Boy BBQ.
The food is reasonably prices, and the portions are huge, we shared a platter with ribs, wings, fries, pickles, and bread between 2 people and we were unable to finish it.
If you have visited the USA and loved the BBQ in the southern states, then get to Big Boy BBQ, it is worth the trip.

We constantly go to cafes or restaurants that bring back memories of food from the southern states of the USA. We went to the Hardware Lane, Melbourne Big Boy BBQ and can say that we have not been able to find the BBQ meats in Australia like the ones we have tasted in the USA.
This is the closest to the real thing that we have found in Australia.
The food is delicious and plentiful and at a great price.
We have eaten at American BBQ style cafes who charge double or more than Big Boy and do not deliver the true taste.
Totally recommend this Big Boy BBQ if you want a real taste of the southern style BBQ of the USA.
