This hotel was excellent when we visited Auckland. Walked everywhere, they even got our room ready after our early flight. Nice pool after a long day. Concierge was competent and helpful. Brasserie was a very good restaurant but breakfast was expensive. Went to Elliott's Stables for other dinners, excellent choice and not too far.

Room was an OK size but a bit dated. Room service was relatively expensive and not very good quality. Hotel is conveniently located with easy access to the rest of Auckland. Staff were polite, but not friendly - it felt a bit like we were an onus on them at some points.

Car park is convenient and is a reasonable rate.

We spent 7 nights over New Years here and expected a little more for what we have paid elsewhere. For example, for a similar price in Sydney we had a much better quality stay.

We asked for and were given a room in a quiet area of the hotel which was great after a long flight. Our room was large with a comfortable bed, well furnished and very nice bathroom. We had a snack in the bar the evening we arrived which was fine but didn't have breakfast as it seemed quite expensive. We were unaware of the the hotels connecting tunnel - which would have been useful to know, until reading other reviews on our return despite reading the hotel info book in he room.

We stayed four days in Auckland at the Milleniun and found it one of the best hotels we had been to. It is centrally located within walking distance to eveything. The staff was very helpful and most friendy (rumours say that all Kiwis are ..). Our room was big with everything in it. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the stay price reasonable.

Stay at the Grand Millennium for 2 nights in January 2017. This is a very nice hotel with a friendly staff. If you like doing the Hop on/Hop off Bus, we suggest you buy you tickets online. You'll save about 30% off the street price. The hotel has computers, so you can print a voucher. There is a short cut from the hotel to the City Center where there are an abundance of restaurants and plenty of junk shops. We happened on the short cut by mistake, so ask a staff member about.
