Stayed here for 2 nights in January. Good proximity to the harbor area and the Transport Center (the walk is a little long, and there's a steep hill to navigate when returning to hotel, but it's good exercise and an enjoyable stroll if the weather is nice.

The room itself was very clean. The stay and sleep were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet options were very good overall (especially fruits and pastries), although I didn't care for way that the scrambled eggs (too watery) and bacon (not crispy) were cooked. However, as I found the exact same way of preparation in other hotels throughout New Zealand, it seems this may be normal for those foods.

The Pullman is very well located and is a great hotel. We had a very good room and a great stay. The only blemish was the very poor level of service in the restaurant at breakfast which was disappointing. We expected more given the number of people who were on Station.

Just finished 2 night stay, great Hotel. Breakfast is fantastic, front of house guys are very helpfull, professional, and on top of everything. Our room was a bit older, but well appointed, very comfortable bed, nice view over a park looking toward the harbour. Shower is very old school in a narrow round bottom tub, did not enjoy that. We were in a 1br suite, nice room.
Very good location, short walk to great bars, restuarants, and city shopping.

In a former life, this hotel was the Hyatt. We only found out after our stay. There were no problems worth mentioning with this place (the check in was slightly delayed; we were upgraded free of charge one step up to a superior suite), we were made to feel welcome and the staff - all the staff - were attentive and helpful throughout the two and a half days we were there. If something was needed or wanted, we just asked. It was provided. (We're not real high-maintenance, but appreciate decent features, comfort and food.)
We stayed primarily for a concert at the nearby Vector Arena (5 minutes walk), and found out later that the band stayed there too. We only found out after they'd left - the staff were discrete concerning their presence at the hotel.

The fitness centre and pool was very good quality indeed. Didn't have a massage but I would imagine, given the obvious quality of the rest of the hotel, that it would be first class.

Special mention to the buffet breakfast. We were told it's an award winning breakfast, and I can see why. The range and quality of food available is very good, the environment pleasant.

Would have no hesitation in booking here again.

You would most definitely love the Pullman Spa which has a range of gorgeous treatments and a very tranquil and relaxing space with wonderful therapists, I am sure it would be something worthwhile trying on a future stay.

This is rated 5 star. On arrival our luggage of 4 bags was to be taken up to room. Went out to get our bearings and see a few sights. Arriving back several hours later luggage not in room. Took ages to locate it - was finally taken to storage area and there it was. Had been labelled with wrong guest name. Room was neat and tidy on arrival and beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Probably very good if only staying for one evening. We stayed for three. Vanity items not replaced daily after use especially shampoo and conditioner. Had to go to guest concierge as housekeeping did not answer phone. Disappointed with cleanliness and standard of service after first night. Staff very friendly in other sections of hotel. Breakfast good value and variety. Really do not think it should be rated as 5 star. 4.5 maximum.
