Stayed 3 nights post cruise. Had to wait to check in but they took our bags so we could wander the city. Nice big jr suite with a small kitchenette complete with a small dishwasher. Large bathroom with separate shower and tub. Only problem is the lighting in the bathrooms. Why cant hotels get it that people need decent lighting to put on makeup???? We don't care about fancy light fixtures - we want decent light!
Room was very clean and made up promptly each morning. Staff were friendly and helpful.
My only complaint was that we had a "city view" room on the second floor. Our view was of the freeway and a ramp onto it making it extremely noisy. On the weekend you could hear the loud music and noise from the many bars and restaurants on the viaduct.

Dear Travelchick1983,
Thank you for the review of our hotel. The hotel location is perfect and we are pleased to hear you were able to explore the city. I have noted your feedback with regards to lighting in the bathroom and will share with the team. I do apologise that you experienced noise from the nearby bars and restaurant. We do try to monitor and work closely with the nearby bars and restaurant but unfortunately this is out of our control.

Once again thank you for your review and we hope you enjoy the rest of your travels.

Kind regards,
Eliesa Fifita

Very well appointed hotel next to the harbour and lots of restaurants. we arrived very early from our flight. The staff gave us towels and passes for the local swimming baths opposite, so we could go and have a shower and freshen up, as our room wasn't available until midday. No bar or restaurant in the hotel, but plenty just outside the door! Our suite was huge with kitchenette and a washing machine and dryer.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the harbour.

Dear Barbara B,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience of our hotel. I am delighted to hear the team where able to assist in providing towels and passes to the local baths and have a room ready by midday. Location is perfect with the eateries on the Viaduct at our doorstep. Long haul travelling can be very tiresome but I am glad you were able to enjoy our hotel.

Once again thank you for sharing our stay with our fellow travellers on Tripadvisor and we wish you safe travels to your next destination.

Kind regards,
Eliesa Fifita

We had a great stay in the sebel auckland viaduct harbour.
Firstly the location is the best in Auckland right in the action beside the harbour. For us we wanted a washing machine and dryer to sort out our clothes as we are mid way into a long trip and both were excellent. We had a small studio and cooked microwave etc were excellent.
Only improvement which would have made the stat excellent were if the bed had been king size and we had splashed the cash on a harbour view room. We had a really bad view called city view which turned out to be looking at a multi story car park. It was not city view it was car park view.
Top tip go for a harbour view you will love it.
No food or bar as part of the hotel but trust me on your doorstep you have everything you could wish for. We cooked a bit in our flat and it was ok no real place to eat easily in the studio again I think we should have chosen a bigger flat.
Think what you need before you book the Sebel it could be the perfect place for you.

Dear David R,
Thank you for sharing your experience on our hotel. You are correct in saying our location is the best in Auckland and we glad you were able to take advantage of our washing facilities. Rooms on the marina do come at a higher cost compared to rooms on the city but it is well worth it and I am pleased you decided to take one. Most of our rooms have Queen beds in them but we have very limited rooms with King beds. This can be requested when making the booking.

Once again thank you for sharing your stay with those on Tripadvisor and we hope to see you again.

Kind regards,
Eliesa Fifita

Location to many restaurants was fantastic. Our room was large, spacious and clean. But being on level 1 was very disappointing for harbour views, as we had asked our agent to request a higher level room. Pillows. For those that like soft & squishy, great, but for those that like firm pillows this hotel has no stock. Amazing as the nice lady on reception told us she gets many requests for firm pillows....

Large comfortable suite, very comfy bed, and a lovely little balcony.
Everything you could need and attentive helpful front of house team

Only stayed one night before boarding a cruise, and it’s in the perfect location, just over the road from the cruise port

Will stay again
