Flew into Auckland and were looking for a property within walking distance of the city and the Northen Explorer station. Quest fit the bill on both. All we wanted apart from that was a bed and a shower, again satisfied. We had a great view over Spark arena to the docks and there was no street noise. The studio apartment was small and seen better days but was clean. Notices in reception tell of a forthcoming renovation later in the year.
Recommend for short term stay at reasonable price.

It was great for the location as we were going to Spark Areana and it was a 5 min walk. We was disappointed that we had to pay an extra $25.00 per night for parking in thier car park, when most motels its free parking. They have you by the balls cause you don't want to leave your car on the street. And we stayed 2 nights. Our room was clean and is exactally as the picture on the web page. The bed was comfortable. The service was say so. The trainee receptionist was helpful recommending a resturant.

This is a typical serviced apartment hotel but with few services and not much character. views across the harbour ok if you are on the high floors. Bed was hard. the rate was too high for what it had to offer. you can do better....

Room Tip: Higher floors for views and less noise.

Quest on Eden has its entrance on Eden Terrace in Auckland and about 10 mins walk slightly downhill to Britomart and harbour. Reasonably quiet for being so central. We were there on a Saturday night and didn't have any trouble sleeping. Receptionist was pleasant and accommodating and let us leave our baggage there as we were early. Fortunately we were able to ask for a room with a balcony otherwise it would have been exceedingly hot. A fan was provided but by opening a sliding door onto the balcony gave us much better air circulation.
The 'apartment' (small but adequate) was perfect for our needs. 2 hot plates, sink, dishwasher, tea towel, dishwashing liquid, a good shower and washing machine and dryer in bathroom. The room was clean and oldish but fine for our needs. Sky TV but not a lot of channels.
A $200 'bond' was taken when we arrived and we thought it would be a 'hold' like rental car companies have but it was actually debited from our credit card and we had to email them to re-credit us which they did immediately. I would have thought not normal business practice. $230 for one night.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a balcony so you can open up the room. No aircon in our room facing Eden Tce.

Nice beds, spotlessly clean, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, convenient location in the university district. The only negative was some noise from the street below, but also from aircon vents from a building nextdoor. Not too much to really bother me, in a way, that constant aircon wind may help to put you to sleep.
