Located a short walk from the town centre this park has a range of geothermal features which you can wander around at your own pace. There are information panels explaining some of the features. Was amazed that you can have bubbling mud pools and boiling springs so close to the town. There are also shallow thermal pools where you can soak your feet. All free!

This is a great attraction in town, a short walk from the main strip. It's just a regular looking park with a heap of thermal pools.

Take your time to walk around and check out the muddy and clear pools bubbling with hot sulfuric thermal activity. Once you've seen and smelt a few of them, you won't mind the smell anymore.

Get to the larger water bodies and you can stand on a platform right in the middle of all the steam and you can feel the heat in the ground by the water. There are also public foot bathing pools fill direct from the water below the ground.

Soak your feet for free in a thermal spring after 'tramping' around the park looking at the bubbling mud pools, geothermal springs and geothermal lake. Take a picinic and relax in the center of Rotorua.

Only had a quick overnight stop and a local had advised us to walk through this park. It is well set out and gives you a great taste/smell of the whole concept of the thermals and Sulphur pools well set out and posted. Easy walk through and enough places to get some great pictures and they have added a couple of pools under a shade structure to soak your feet and enjoy the thermal water - right in the heart of Rotorua it's definitely worth a stop over
