We did the Redwood Treetop walk only (a cost but well wortth it!) and it was a great experience. It was showering at the time which highlighted all the trees around. Would love to do this a night to see all the lights! Well worth a visit for sure!

Highly recommend going for a walk here, there are different distance trails for different fitness levels so most people could manage this. The forest is beautiful and peaceful, it changes from redwood to rainforest after a while on some trails. And best of all there is no cost, except for the night time tree walk with lanterns. Definitely go and see this beautiful spot.

Do not confuse the Redwood walk with the Redwood treetop walk. One is free and ground level and one costs and takes you for a bird's eye view if the forest. We've done the two minor trails each time we've come to Rotorua with our granddaughter and it still provides a good hour of walking fun for her. It's free, it's well maintained track for walkers, strollers, joggers, cyclists and I think horse riders so a very inclusive reserve.

Beautiful forest and great walk ways. This is a must do in Rotorua weather it be a walk for relaxation or exercise there many tracks that offer degrees of difficulty. Also mountain biking is a huge sport here in our region and the tracks here are world class.
Wonderful cafes nears by and you can hire an area for events.
