Description: Sass Café can meet your lunch and hot or cold drink needs. We have free Wi-fi available and an upstairs area away from the main hustle and bustle of the café for those business discussions that set the day in motion. Need to take lunch on the road, we can do just about everything on the menu as a takeaway option if you wish. Talk to our friendly staff and we will meet your needs where possible. We are in the main business part of town, the parking meters do not need feeding until 9.00 am, until then you can park for free. After 9 and need change, see us, we have plenty!

On our way down the coast, stopped in Invercargill for a little bite to eat. Super windy city and looking forward to some coffee/smoothie after a long drive. Went to Sass Cafe and asked if they had anything vegan. They were very nice and accommodating staff. They had a salad option and the Minestrone soup. When the soup came, there seemed to be bacon in it. The waitress came and we asked if there was meat in it and she thought they may have given the wrong one. She came back and said there is no meat in it. Asked if we still want it or money back. We said if there is no meat, then we will eat it. They were nice and reheated it but when we got it back, the first bite had a big piece of bacon. Nice people but that seemed a bit weird. As a hospitality worker myself, I hate to be 'that person' but the situation was a bit sketchy.

Really enjoyed this cafe, staff were friendly and nothing was an issue.
Food was great and arrived to the table promptly. Would recommend the slices and the cheese rolls.
