Nothing but good. Receptionist showed us to our room and reviewed the operation. The room was very large with two recliner chairs. The internet was particularly good and this is something that's important to us.

Within walking distance to Lake Te Anua and the city centre. We stayed here so we could check out the Milford Sound (travel time is about 2 hours from Te Anua). Was cooler weather when we stayed but luckily the room itself was well insulated and had heating. The living room and kitchen were open plan and overall it was efficiently setup to maximise the room space. There were 2 recliner chairs and a couch, separate bedroom and a separate shower/toilet. Free wifi was a bonus too. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre where you could take your pick for food (try Miles Better Pies its awesome). There were 2 supermarkets too for you to stock up for your road trip or diy breakfast/lunch. Very impressed with the layout of the room and there is also laundry facilities if you needed it. We didn't need it, but handy to know. Good place if you are stopping in Te Anua.

Very friendly staff. The location is really good. Rooms might get a little bit too hot during the afternoon if it's a sunny day outside, but nothing you can't deal with. Everything is within a 5 minutes walk. I do recommend this lodge.
We were 3 people. 2 adults and a 7 years old child.

The location is great, just in front of the lake with partial lake view and very close to the town center. We stayed as a part of a group for 2 nights in room 11. The rooms are well decorated and plush. Nice recliner in the living room. Kitchen area was bit small and living room had a fold out bed and bedroom with queen bed. The front opens into a nice sitting area with a table outdoor for a picnic. No safe deposit box in the room. In fact we did not find it in any hotel in the south island, probable it’s a safe country so they don’t provide it , but initially I was a bit scared with regards to my cash and passports. Regular housekeeping was provided. TV showed only 6 channels and of them 3 were religion oriented, but that’s what we got in every motel. Adequate car parking just next to our room. One other down side was the bathroom basin, had separate hot and cold water taps, and this was a bit of a hassle. One other thing no bidet shower in the toilet, which makes it a bit of a hassle for us Indians but we could manage.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Lodge on the start of our New Zealand trip. After a 31hr flight from London I was greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful lady who showed me to our room and also gave some fantastic advise on trips and things to do!

The room was large, well appointed and had a super comfy bed to get rid of all of the jet.
