The motel is located in a easy accessible spot, close to Mt Panorama and to town. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the room I had was clean and tidy with all the facilities required. They also provide a really good cheap breakfast which is great when travelling. Definitely worth a stay if in Bathurst.

Room Tip: a bigger room for the space.

After a long day on the road it was very nice to get a friendly welcome and a superb referral to Vics pizza shop along the road. The motel is quite old but the bathroom was completely renovated. The room was very clean and the bed just perfect. An added bonus was a cosy welcoming dinning room where for $5 each we could have a continental breakfast,5 cereals, fruit, yogurt, toast and condiments and coffee etc,and for not a lot more a cooked breakfast that would have been 3 times the cost anywhere else. Highly recommend this motel, don't let the cheap price put you off.

Room Tip: 2 levels so it depends what you like or how many bags you have.

The Explorer is easily accessed, close to all amenities and in easy walking distance of the Bathurst city CBD with all its attractions. The rooms are not that larger but I have experienced much smaller. Reception is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast room is bright and airy and with a choice of continental or cooked meals, the menu provides an appropriate country meal from local produce. We picked a very hot humid day to stay and the air-conditioning handled the challenge.

Stinking hot day long drive to be greeted by a beautifully friendly young host(think it was Mia)..great suggestions for local eateries (totally reccommend Vic's 3 blocks up the road) another bonus for us was the hotel is pet friendly. We also had my mother travelling with us and were put in a family room which was just perfect for us
